MAGRO ist ein Drummer und Produzent aus Berlin.
Mit seinem ungewöhnlichen Sound schafft er eine Verschmelzung aus produzierter
HipHop/RnB Musik und akustisch gespieltem Jazz. Sein Projekt kombiniert viele seiner
musikalischen Einflüsse wie Herbie Hancock, J Dilla, D’Angelo und Kendrick Lamar.

Über die Jahre hat Magro mit zahlreichen Künstlern als Drummer und Produzent
gearbeitet. Touren und internationale Festival Auftritte (u.a. Tremplin Jazz Avignon, Jazz
Al Popolo Rom, Women in Music Festival Zambia uvm.) haben ihn bereits um die Welt
geführt. Überdies hat er das Debut Album von Leona Berlin mit-produziert, das 2018
bei Warner Music erschienen ist.
Im September ist seine neue Single „15 Minutes“ erschienen. Sie featured NY MC
Stimulus. Im Laufe des Jahres werden weitere Singles mit Features von verschiedenen
Berliner und internationalen Künstlern veröffentlicht - darunter Kenny Wesley (USA),
Kileza (London) und Rapturous (Berlin).

MAGRO is a drummer and producer from Berlin. With his unusual sound, he creates a fusion of produced HipHop/RnB music and acoustically played jazz.

His project combines many of his musical influences such as Herbie Hancock, J Dilla and Chris Dave. “I want to build a bridge between catchy music and the deep elements of Jazz.“ Over the years, Magro has worked with numerous artists as a drummer and producer (amongst others Leona Berlin, Kenny Wesley, J Lamotta, Stimulus).

Tours and international festival appearances (including Tremplin Jazz Avignon, Jazz Al Popolo Rome, Women in Music Festival Zambia and many more) have taken him around the world. In addition, he co-produced the debut album by Leona Berlin, which was released by Warner Music in 2018.

After several singles appeared last year, he recently released a beat tape under his name. His debut album “Trippin” will be released on May 28th. With this, Magro shows his artistic and creative perspective on the present time. On the album Magro features some of his favorite musicians and singers – among others Jazz legend Kurt Rosenwinkel, Leona Berlin and US rapper TwizzMatic.
