Buster Isitt’s music is the sound of silence and nostalgia, concrete suburbs, open landscapes, and big dreams. His music speaks as much to the heart as to the intellect — a sound that is both immediate and contemplative. Dreamy guitars, a fragile voice, and a harmonic language deeply rooted in jazz and Brazilian music form the core of Buster’s sonic universe. In his works, one hears a constant, whispering dialogue — a sound that invites inner reflection. Buster Isitt is a Swedish-Danish guitarist, composer, and songwriter, born and raised in Stockholm. Drawing inspiration from jazz, indie and South American musical traditions, he has developed a sound that stands on the shoulders of artists such as Egberto Gismonti and Pat Metheny — while still being truly original. After many years on the Danish music scene — with releases and concerts alongside the likes of David Miilmann Group and Veronika Rud — he has now released his first EP under his own name. The debut single, “Kan jag glömma?”, earned him a Danish music Awards nomination for Jazz Single of the Year. Buster’s live performances are marked by intimacy and honesty. He often collaborates with some of the finest musicians around, creating a sensitive and exploratory space, allowing for concerts where the boundaries between genres and moods dissolve, and where the imperfect and unexpected are allowed to shine. With his debut as a solo artist, Buster Isitt steps onto the stage as a mature and curious voice in the alternative scene.
